TEXT US - 316.722.2680
We do not carry the phone with us when we are horseback, so texting is the best way to get a fast response from us in between rides. Typically we are unable to return phone calls until the end of the day.

EMAIL - CArrowStables@gmail.com
Please email us if you are interested in buying or selling a horse, questions regarding boarding, or if you are interested in volunteering. We are not offering any paid positions at this time. Please understand it may take a day or two for us to get back with you via email.

Due to a large number of frequent and repeat customers, we encourage you to make your reservations one to two weeks in advance. Our reservations often book weeks out, and we are typically not able to accomodate last minute reservations. Reservations are required for all rides and lessons, we do not accept walk-ins.

Please only use the above methods to contact us. We frequently get a call, text, email, and Facebook message from a person within a few minutes because they can't reach us immediately. We do not have a full time receptionist, and are typically outdoors. We will get back to you when we have time. Attempting to reach us through multiple only slows down the process for you and others. Again, this is why it is important to start making your reservation early.

This is a one hour ride amidst the Kansas Prairie that is great for anyone from beginner to experienced. This ride is on-site and will tour the grounds adjacent to C-Arrow. This is a group ride and may combine several parties, totalling up to 10 riders with a minimum of 2 people.
$50 per person
Private Lessons cover everything offered in group lessons, but with one on one instruction. Private Lessons are best suited for first time riders or advanced riders with a specific goal in mind. We recommend group lessons for most riders, as people take away far more in a group setting.
We offer private specialty lessons as well, please contact us for pricing.
$35 per person
Riding lessons are available for anyone who wants to focus on developing basic horsemanship skills or improve riding skills. Each lesson consists of grooming and tacking the horse, riding lesson, and time afterwards to untack and put away the horse. You will learn how to work safely around the horse and you will learn your way around the stables and how to properly lead, groom, and tack a horse. C-Arrow Stables has a wide variety of horses to assist in your education.

Group Lessons are great for intermediate riders to learn from the instruction of the group. You are able to see how other riders correct with instruction. We recommend group lessons for most people, including children and adults.

$20 per 30 minutes
We offer pony rentals if you have a young child that is not old enough to ride, or may be intimidated by a full size horse. We will have a gentle pony tacked up and ready for you to lead around the property. Pony Riders must be under 80 lbs, no exceptions.

[Generally we do not include handlers with pony rides. Our ponies are very gentle, and most people prefer to lead the ponies themselves. Many kids feel more comfortable if it is someone they know leading the pony. If you would like us to arrange a handler, please let us know when booking your event. Depending on the needs of your event, we may assess a $10 per hour fee for each handler required.]

FAQ
Are Helmets reQUIRED?
All children under the age of 18 are required to wear helmets when horseback, no exceptions. If you have your own helmet, we encourage you to bring it as it will fit your child best. Most bicycle helmets work just fine, but if we feel it does not offer appropriate protection, we may ask they wear one of ours. If you do not have a helmet available, we can provide one at no cost.
How long are the rides?
Both group and private lessons tend to run a bit over an hour. Expect to be horseback for about 45-50 minutes, with the rest of the time tacking and untacking.
Trail Rides tend to run just over an hour. The trail itself is almost an hour. Wet weather may alter the trail path and duration.
I've never been on a horse, is that ok?
Ya gotta start somewhere! Our horses have done this hundreds of times and are very gentle. Trail rides are a nice easy and relaxing way to be horseback. If you would like to learn more, we offer group and private lessons. We recommend group lessons for most people as they are a great way to not only learn from the instructor, but to also learn from your fellow riders.
do you sell horses and ponies?
Yes, we often have horses and ponies available for sale. Contact us and let us know what you are looking for and we may have something suitable for your needs.
How old do you have to be to ride?
At least 5 years old for riding lessons.
At least 7 years old for trail rides.
As long as a parent is able to help, we can accomodate young children for pony rides.
what about masks?
We offer outdoor activities, but there are several times we are in very close proximity to our guests. We ask guests to wear masks when tacking up, loading, unloading, and in the office. When on your horse or in open areas you do not need to wear a mask.
Is there a weight limit?
260 lbs.
CaN YOU ACCOmmodate special needs riders?
Our staff has been trained to assist guests with special needs. Please let us know when booking your appointment if you or your child has special needs so that we can best serve you.
About us
C-Arrow Stables is owned and operated by the father/son team of Barry & Keaton Cole. The Coles founded C-Arrow at this location in 1989. For over 30 years, Barry has shared his knowledge with the community. As his son Keaton grew up here, he gradually took on more responsibility and has taken their family expertise into the next generation.

rules
We just wanted to remind everyone of a few simple Rules of Safety & Courtesy when visiting us at C-Arrow.

No Smoking
Please do not smoke anywhere on C-Arrow property. Hay and dry grass are incredibly flammable. The frequency we see someone flick a cigarette butt out into the grass is alarming. If you need to smoke, please do it off C-Arrow property and please dispose of your butt responsibly.

Slow Down
Please slow down when pulling in and out of the parking lot. Fast moving vehicles throw rocks, kick up dust, frighten animals and are a danger to children in the parking lot. Just slow down a bit, for the safety of everyone here.

Horse Sense
Know your way around a horse, and make sure your kids are aware of them as well. Wear shoes, not sandals. Make sure you are at a safe distance from the horse and respect the quiet zones

Scheduling
The best way to schedule a ride is to send us a text (316.722.2680). Leaving us a voicemail, and an email, and a facebook message, and a text message doesn't get a faster reply. It takes us longer to check each of them, then see if they are the same person, and then reply. If we haven't replied, it is probably after we have shut down for the day, or we are not available to reply. We will get back with you when we get a free minute.

Please schedule in advance. A few days notice is great for us. That way it is fresh in your mind that you have scheduled a ride, you have an idea of what the weather is going to do, and you have an idea of your schedule for the day. If you need to cancel, please do so with as much notice as possible. If it is within an hour of your ride, we usually have already prepared for you. We have gone out to get the horse you will ride, brushed and cleaned it, saddled it and have it ready for you. When you cancel at the last minute or are a no-show, we now have to unsaddle and put the horse away. No shows or late cancellations are incredibly frustrating, and are costly for us. Please give at least 2 hours notification if you need to cancel your ride.

Tipping
If you are happy with your instructors or guides service, please consider tipping them. We are in the service industry where tipping is standard.

After Hours
Please respect that this business is also our home. Please avoid late night calls, emails, messages, and last minute scheduling for morning appointments
